Module 1 and module 2 assesment
This is about the student handbook on computing for the students of Virginia University. Read and understand their handbook.
a.If you are to become a part of the VSU team who will formulate a handbook like that of Virginia University, give at least 2 policies that you want to be implemented in VSU or even just for CS students like you, regarding computing. Also include sanction or sort of punishment to those who will violate the said policy.
Answer:
If I am a part of VSU team who will formulate a handbook like that of Virginia University, I will implement a policy that students as well as instructors must have their own e-mail account so that students have permanent update to their lessons and assignments and can communicate to their teachers as well and failure to do that will not be anymore belong to the class. And to ensure students that there is no problem in accessing their account free, the second policy will be implemented and that is every students will be given a day to day access to the internet with a time limit not exceeding 1 hour and of course, that free internet is only use for school purposes only and not for other purpose like visiting other web sites. Those student that will be caught visiting other web sites will be consider as absent for the whole week.
2. According to the definition of ethics, it can be connected to the norms or custom of the society. What could be ethical to one, could be unethical to another. If this is the case, in which ethics seem to be subjective in nature, why is there a need to study computer ethics at all? Support your opinion with facts.
Answer: It is because without computer ethics, there will be illegal copying of products of the other company, there wiill no promotion of the discussions of how much influence computer shol\uld have in areas such as artificial intelligence and human communication. As the world evolves, computer ethics continues to create ethical standards that addresses new issues raised by new technologies.
3. There are 4 types of non-jural law. Divine, natural, moral and physical. If you are to practice just one type of the non-jural law for the entire existence of your life, what would it be and why?
Answer: Me??Well, I will choose to practise moral law so i can control myself of what should be done and not. It is because with this law, your behavior will be practise in dealing with your friends or in the community. Because of this law, you are able to know the right things that should be done. For example if you are commnuicating with other people and you are a joker, of course if that person is not so close to you, then you are so careful on what you are saying right??It is because you don't know him/her yet. This is for you to avoid trouble.
